Sport Psych, Fall Squads and more...

Summer has been awesome, and I'm sure we're all determined to enjoy these last three weeks, however it's helpful to keep an eye on future developments!

Highlight of the coming week is with Coach Ebonie and a Parent Information Zoom at 6:00pm on Tuesday.  The first of a monthly series, the presentation will deal with "Strategies for managing competition pressure".  In addition to her squash background, Ebonie is a trained Mental Performance Consultant and brings significant value.  You can log in to her Zoom via this link and there will be a Q and A at the end, so feel free to come with some of your own personal quandaries!

Additionally, several points below to keep in mind:

  • 3 weeks of Summer Camp remain - signup details are unchanged

  • You may check out our fall schedule, signups are open and email me via paul@squashtigers.com to make a Planning appointment - I know it's early, but it's always nice stress reliever for parents to get season plans finalized

  • Adjusted lesson rates here - and contact coaches individually for scheduling - *note full season members have access to both clubs and both groups of coaches

  • Zoom Coaching is available for next weekends West Coast Gold - email contact@squashtigers.com with requests

  • Congratulations to the small group of Tigers who competed in the Detroit Gold - a shout out to Sriya on making the final, Yidrew on his 3rd place and Leo on his 5th - well done all!

Finally, as you would have read in the Fall Schedule release, I have made time in my week to sit down face to face or via Zoom with any interested parents to go over plans or requests for the coming season.  Regardless of whether your children are relatively new to the sport, or confirming JCT coaching, it's a worthwhile exercise.  I love the squash season, but it does get quite hectic for us all, especially when academic demands kick in, so it's always helpful to get plans squared away in advance.

See everyone soon, big things ahead.

Paul and the team.
