With the Right Training Program, Great Things Can Happen!
Squash is one of the fastest-growing sports among juniors in the United States! It is considered a niche sport with a dedicated and passionate following.
Many private and public schools have squash teams that compete in school varsity and junior-varsity leagues. The High School Nationals held in Philadelphia every year is the largest squash junior team tournament in the world with more than 1600 high schoolers competing. US Squash, the sport's governing body in the United States, organizes over 100 junior tournaments annually across the country including fielding teams for multiple international tournaments, catering to all levels of play. The US Junior Open is the largest individual junior tournament is the world. In addition, around 35 colleges, including Ivy League institutions, have varsity squash teams and actively recruit from the junior squash community.
Tournament registration is managed by CLUBLOCKER. If you are new to junior squash, it is helpful to create an account for your child and familiarize yourself with it.
What We Offer
At SQUASHTIGERS, we provide comprehensive squash training tailored to your child's development. Our year-round program is led by dedicated, full-time coaches committed to nurturing young athletes. Beginners typically start with our LEARN-TO-PLAY PACKAGE, a one-time program that includes five private lessons to introduce your child to the fundamentals of the sport. This package also grants access to a squad session, our daily group training designed to reinforce skills in a dynamic setting. Once your child completes the Learn-to-Play program, they are ready to join our flagship SQUAD Program, which features multiple structured group training sessions each day. These sessions focus on skill development through modified match play, emphasizing specific shots on a rotational basis. At this stage, we recommend supplementing squad training with a weekly PRIVATE LESSON for personalized improvement. After a few months of squad training, your child will be ready to compete in tournaments and begin their competitive junior squash career. We conduct our in-house REHEARSAL TOURNAMENTS roughly once a month for juniors to prepare for what competing is all about. For our most ambitious players, we offer the PERFORMANCE Program, which refines advanced match strategies, physical conditioning, mental resilience, and tournament preparation. We also offer counselling and guidance for recruitment to colleges as a student athlete playing squash. During competitions, we encourage players to have a COACH by their side for guidance and support throughout their matches. At SQUASHTIGERS, we are committed to helping every child reach their full potential on and off the court.
The SQUAD program runs during season, i.e., from Sept to May, and offers 24 hours per week of training encompassing technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of squash.
The PERFORMANCE program runs through the year and offers about 12 hours per week of fitness benchmarking, structured match-play and targeted drills.
LESSONS run year-round with the purpose to teach and instruct players, ideally positioning them to rehearse and gain repetitions in our squads.
TOURNAMENT COACHING allows our coaches to advise players with timely tactical and strategic directives to maximize their tournament outcomes.
